Visual Arts Programme

In Year 7 Art Tech we introduce students to some basic colour theory and drawing skills. We look at a range of different artists and cultures to inspire student outcomes. In year 8 students are able to build on their knowledge and develop work further using a range of different 2 and 3 dimensional media.

In the art academy students look at a range of different themes such as still life, portraits and landscapes. They are encouraged to develop their own style from similar starting points. They will learn how to draw using a range of different media and paint using acrylic and watercolour. They will be encouraged to develop work based on contemporary issues.
